What Eja! Stores

Eja! stores progress, mastered words, gems, streaks, the selected language and daily-quest status in this browser’s local storage. This information stays on the device and is not available on another device.

Speech Playback

When a learner taps the English speaker, Eja! may request a Merriam-Webster Collegiate® pronunciation audio lookup, with browser speech as a fallback. Bahasa Malaysia words use the browser or operating system voice. Eja! does not send answers, progress or a child’s voice to Merriam-Webster, and it does not use the microphone or record a child’s voice.

Technical Delivery Data

The hosting service may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as an IP address, request time and browser information. Eja! does not add advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics.

Deleting Progress

A parent or teacher can remove all Eja! progress from the Parent Guide. Clearing browser storage also removes it.

Children’s Privacy

This anonymous version is designed to minimise personal-data collection. If future versions add accounts, classroom rosters, cloud progress, analytics or user submissions, the privacy notice and parental-consent approach must be reviewed before those features launch.
