Small Sessions, Stronger Spelling

Eja! is an anonymous, device-local spelling practice game for children learning English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Listen First

Children hear a word, type the spelling and receive immediate, encouraging feedback. Slow replay supports careful listening.

Progress Gradually

18 units in 6 leagues move from first sounds to academic vocabulary. A unit unlocks after the previous one is mastered.

Stay Anonymous

No child account, name, email, age, microphone or location is requested. Learning progress stays in this browser.

A Vocabulary Ladder, Not a Flat List

Each language now contains 172 words. Early leagues build sound and spelling patterns; middle leagues add stories, science, word families and reasoning; advanced leagues practise context, evidence and precise academic language.

The English summit reflects the digital SAT’s emphasis on high-utility words in context. It is useful preparation, but spelling practice alone is not a complete SAT programme. The Bahasa Malaysia summit develops formal and academic Malay through imbuhan, makna, hujah and bukti rather than translating an English test list.

Recommended Routine

  1. 5–10 minutes: complete the daily quest with 5 different words.
  2. Listen twice: use normal speed first, then slow replay when needed.
  3. Say it aloud: repeat the word before typing to connect sound and spelling.
  4. Review together: ask the child to use one mastered word in a new sentence.

Check This Device’s Voices

Speech quality depends on the voices installed by the browser or device. Test both languages before a child begins.
